Global Perspectives, Local Impact: Lebanese Success Abroad and its Impact on the Homeland
Connecting the Lebanese Diaspora Through Dialogue
Organized by Another Perspective Foundation in collaboration with London Universities Lebanese Societies, the conference took place on November 13, 2023, at University College London’s Wilkins Building in London.


The event gathered students, young professionals, and members of the Lebanese diaspora for an evening focused on leadership, international careers, and the connection between global success and local impact in Lebanon.
Stories of International Success and Leadership
The conference featured inspiring conversations with Lebanese professionals working across architecture, aviation, transport research, finance, and consulting, who shared their personal and professional journeys abroad.


Speakers included Marwan Jamal, Architect and Director at Markam Associates Ltd., Houssam Weiss, Country Manager at MEA UK & Ireland, Nadine Itani, air transport researcher, and Nadine Badra, former BNP Paribas professional and freelance consultant. The discussion was moderated by Alexander Safi, Vice-President of Another Perspective Foundation.

Building a Community of Young Global Leaders
The event created a platform for cultural exchange, networking, and intergenerational dialogue, encouraging young people to engage with stories of resilience, ambition, and international collaboration.
Through cooperation with Lebanese student societies across London, the conference strengthened connections within the diaspora community and highlighted the role of young leaders in creating positive social impact both internationally and in their homeland.
